Calathea Lancifolia Rattle Snake

The popular and striking Calathea Lancifolia also known as the Rattlesnake Calathea, is in the prayer plant family so it opens and closes its long patterned leaves during the day/night. They like humidity, a warm position (out of direct sunlight) and wipe the leaves regularly to keep them dust free.  Do not overwater.  When the soil is almost completely dry stand it in a sink with water half way up the pot and leave overnight. IN the morning drain and place back in its cover pot.
